The Poschiavo Valley offers
entertainment, culture, music and fairs
all year round.
Spring marks the awakening of nature,
and the mild climate allows you to hike
up to high altitudes on foot or by mountain
bike along well-marked tracks and footpaths.
The indoor swimming pool at Poschiavo
and the open-air pool at Hotel Le Prese
are in the immediate vicinity of the
camping site. Lake Poschiavo is a favourite
destination for walking, relaxing, surfing
and boat trips. In early July, a gastronomic
tour (straMangiada) takes place around
Lake Poschiavo, offering guests tasters
of the valley’s numerous specialities.
Excursions in the countryside and cycling
tours from the Engadine to Valtellina
allow you to discover a Mediterranean
climate as well as areas covered by snow
all year round. The suggestive concerts
in Poschiavo’s main square or at
Brusio’s helical viaduct offer
a memorable experience.
The little red train of the Rhaetian
Railway is the highest narrow-gauge railway
in Europe. In 2008, the section running
through the Poschiavo Valley connecting
Tirano and St. Moritz will be declared
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A trip
on a panoramic carriage will be a highlight
of your holiday.
